Welcome to the World, Baby!
There are two ways to be born. Babies come out of the uterus through the vagina or through a cut in the belly and uterus (caesarean section or c section).
Sometimes it is our Mom, birth mother, first parent, or a parent with a different name who gives birth to us. Other times it is a traditional surrogate or a gestational surrogate.
A surrogate is pregnant and gives birth to a baby who will be raised by someone else. It is the surrogates eggs that are used for fertilization.
A gestational surrogate is also pregnant and gives birth to a baby who will be raised by someone else. However, it is not the surrogate's eggs that are used. It could be eggs from your parent or a donor.
Sometimes we know who was pregnant with us and how they gave birth to us, and sometimes we don't!
